Welcome to C-C Ranch — pronounced C Bar C — a working family ranch tucked into the heart of Courtland, Alabama. What began in 1998 as a simple family endeavor has grown into a lifestyle we absolutely love: caring for livestock, animals, and especially our incredible Border Collies.
Stacy and I both grew up on farms surrounded by horses, cows, goats, chickens and faithful ranch dogs. Today, alongside full-time jobs and raising our family, we manage the ranch with the same passion and pride we were raised with. Life here isn’t always easy, but it’s rich with purpose — and always better with dogs by our side.
Our Border Collies — Partners, Friends, Family
At C-C Ranch, our Border Collies aren’t just animals on a farm — they are valued partners and cherished companions. This remarkable breed is known worldwide for its extraordinary intelligence, eagerness to learn, and strong work ethic — traits that make them exceptional both on the ranch and as part of a family. In fact, Border Collies are consistently ranked among the most intelligent dog breeds, capable of solving problems, learning quickly, and thriving in training and activities.
Our collies help us every day — from moving cattle and assisting with vaccinations and handling, to simply making life on the ranch smoother and more joyful. But they’re just as happy snuggling at your feet, fetching a frisbee, or joining in on a family hike. That blend of work drive and loving companionship is one of the things we admire most about the breed.
Health, Quality, and Responsible Breeding
We take the health and future of our dogs seriously. All of our breeding dogs undergo comprehensive DNA testing and OFA hip evaluations, ensuring we’re making thoughtful, responsible decisions that support sound structure, temperament, and long-term health. Our goal is simple: raise Border Collies who are not only athletic and capable workers but also healthy, happy, and devoted companions for their new families.
